Blessings to you at this time of thanksgiving.
Have you noticed how stress and insults of life seem to correlate to the physical pain?
It is a very important connection.
The nervous system learns your stress response and injury reaction. Life gives it plenty of practice. The system learns the response so well, that it can keep you in those tensions 24 hours a day. That’s why the muscles are sore. Since it’s happening all the time, we loose the ability to sense and control it. We’re often held in a tug of war of opposing tensions. As the system takes over, parts start to hurt, there’s stiffness and issues of posture arise.
Although the nervous system is the boss of the muscles. We can use the muscles to teach the nervous system to not be trapped in the loop. Actively creating tension and movement feedback in a special way, along with directing your awareness can bring liberation. It is a process, a self-care, an exploration. Teach your nervous system to remember what it forgot, how to allow a feeling of ease.
Learn to notice the hidden problem, and how to get the system to learn its way out of it.
There is something you are not noticing. Look deeper. Look below your assumptions. That’s where the answer is.
I can show you the process of reclaiming control of stress and injury response, so you do don’t have to be trapped in it. It’s a path toward wholeness. It is a path to freedom.
